ABOUT LIZ CRACCHIOLO

Liz Cracchiolo is a jazz vocalist known for her captivating performances and soulful interpretations. With a voice that exudes warmth and emotion, Liz has established herself as a prominent figure in the jazz music scene. Her unique style and magnetic stage presence have garnered her the title of the Bombshell Next Door.

“If I’m not doing something that terrifies me, it’s not worth it.” Whether she’s headlining a New York cabaret, crushing fitness goals, baking a perfect batch of cranberry–white chocolate biscotti, or diving into true-crime podcasts, Liz Cracchiolo lives by this mantra. Liz has always gravitated toward challenges.

Her acclaimed 2021 portrayal of Diana Goodman in Next to Normal marked a major turning point—deepening her work with vocal coach Ellyn Marsh and pushing her vocally, physically, and emotionally. The production demanded honesty and vulnerability, setting the tone for the artist she would become.Originally from southern Arizona, Liz grew up surrounded by eclectic musical influences and a fiercely outspoken mother whose boldness she proudly inherited. Performing caught her early, leading to dance lessons, voice training, and ultimately her dream high school role as Miss Adelaide in Guys & Dolls.Though she initially pursued a business degree in college, fate intervened, placing her in a freshman musical theatre class for majors despite never having auditioned. After proving herself with 24 hours’ notice and earning her spot, Liz completed her BFA in Musical Theatre at the University of Arizona. She briefly stepped away from performing after college, building a successful financial-planning career before returning to the stage with encouragement from mentor Monte Ralstin. Since then, she has taken on roles including Georgie in The Full Monty, Madame Thenardier in Les Misérables, Ulla in The Producers, Donna in Mamma Mia!, and Yitzhak in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the latter earning her a Best Supporting Actor in a Musical award. She has also headlined concert productions such as Classics Rock, The Peggy Lee Songbook, Broadway, Baby!, and The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.During the 2020 shutdown, Peloton fitness and true-crime podcasts provided unexpected inspiration and eventually led her to Broadway star Ellyn Marsh, whose vocal guidance transformed Liz’s artistry. Together, they prepared for Next to Normal and later developed Liz’s cabaret shows If Only I Were Taller (2022) and I Do Men (2023).Following I Do Men, Liz realized her true artistic home was jazz—drawn to its freedom, storytelling, and emotional depth. That transition quickly resonated with audiences: she earned Three consecutive Best Jazz Nominations (2023, 2024, and 2025) in the Best of Tucson poll. She is also a regular performer at the renowned jazz club The Century Room, further solidifying her presence in the jazz community. In 2024, she committed fully to the genre and began producing her debut album. Recorded in June 2025 in New York City, the project features original jazz arrangements of pop songs alongside some of her favorite classic standards. The album, titled “̶J̶u̶s̶t̶ ̶a̶ ̶G̶i̶r̶l̶ I’m a Woman,” includes collaborations with celebrated artists including Benny Benack III, Savannah Harris, and Russell Hall. The one thing that never terrifies Liz is her family. Her husband, Alex—a CPA and gifted actor—and their two children, Bella and A.J., are her guiding lights and biggest fans. Together, they love traveling to new places, and are on a mission to visit every Major League Baseball stadium.
